Before kickoff at Wembley, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that Alexis Sanchez was left out of the squad due to a hamstring injury.
Sanchez was in Dubai with the rest of the United squad this week for their five-day warm-weather training.
However, the Chilean international failed a fitness test ahead of United’s game against Tottenham and was not included in the matchday squad.

United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that he’s still struggling with the hamstring injury that kept him out of the team last month, but hopes he’ll back as soon as Wednesday.
“He is not ready yet, no,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
“Hopefully I think he will be training when we get back, maybe Wednesday he will be full training. It is just one of those blows.
“He is just having a hard time getting rid of it [the injury] so hopefully next week maybe he can be involved.”
