Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has allowed Alexis Sanchez to return to Chile as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury

The former Arsenal star’s difficult year has come to an end due to a hamstring injury which is expected to keep him sidelined for the next six weeks.

Now the Independent reports that Sanchez arrived at Santiago on Tuesday in Chile, where he intends to recover from a mentally and physically draining year.

The report adds that Sanchez plans on spending some time working with some of the Chilean national team staff, which United have endorsed due to their good relationship with the country’s football federation.
