Gonzalo Higuain has been “extraordinary” so far this season and his coach, Massimiliano Allegri, knows it but the Italian still wants the star attacker to continue with his improvement.

The Argentina international made a huge impact during his side’s 2-0 win against AC Milan away from home as he managed to score both goals of the match. The former player of Napoli has got 101 Serie A goals now and this number is likely to be a lot higher in the near future – but Massimiliano Allegri still sees a room for improvement.

The Italian coach and former boss of AC Milan talked about his striker’s performance as he said, according to Goal“Higuain is currently fit because he has worked a lot during the international break and he normally works with a lot of intensity during those sessions. When it’s like this, one feels better, runs more, smiles more. It’s the same for people like me who don’t practice sports anymore but if we feel fit, we are not overburdened, we feel lighter and we don’t fall asleep. We smile more, we feel better and brighter.”

Rui Costa: AC Milan will be back!

Former AC Milan star Rui Costa believes the Rossoneri will return to the top.

And it works like that even for the footballers and Higuain has been in a good shape recently: “And the same goes for footballers. If one feels well, things become a lot easier. Especially because Gonzalo is a great player – he is technically very gifted, he is extraordinary.”

Allegri wants his player to improve especially in Europe: “But he must not stop, he still needs to improve his condition, he needs to raise the bar especially in Europe.”

The Italian also spoke about his side’s performance during the clash against AC Milan: “Playing in Milan is never easy because the San Siro always commands great performances. When you play a Milan-Juventus game, technical values just reset and some balanced games are the result of this. The boys have shown that they are at a certain level and are made of some substance.”
