Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes Cristiano Ronaldo deserves credit for their stunning start to the season
The Bianconeri have won all 10 of their opening games this term across all competitions and lead the Serie A by six points.
An eighth successive league crown is the target with Ronaldo proving instrumental in Juventus’ run of results.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is in stunning form and has contributed towards five goals in the club’s last four games.
But it’s not just his displays on the pitch that has left Allegri impressed with the Italian hailing Ronaldo’s influence on the team.
“Cristiano is very calm and is working well,” said Allegri in a press conference in the club’s Twitter.
“He’s been very humble and has brought even more focus and a sense of responsibility to the team.
“Besides scoring goals, which he does best, he’s also great at providing assists.”
Although Allegri cautioned his side into getting carried away with their recent run of results ahead of Juventus’ Serie A clash with 11th-placed Genoa on Saturday.
“Everyone says we will win all of the league and Champions League matches from here to June, but it’s not like that,” he said.
“Genoa will be a difficult game. At this moment, you need to return to the league with the right attitude because the game after the break is the most dangerous.
“I told the boys, this is a moment when too much positivity lowers energy. We have to keep a low profile and concentrate on work.”
Paulo Dybala is a doubt due to a knee injury from international duty with Argentina and captain Giorgio Chiellini will be rested.
However, Douglas Costa is fit again after recovering from ankle and thigh injuries with Sami Khedira also expected to make his return to the squad.
