Allegri not thinking about Europe just yet

The Bianconeri boss insisted that his team is focused on the Seria A and no the Champions League as of now.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri revealed it would be incredible to knock out Real Madrid out of the most prestigious European club tournament, but also noted that his men should put their focus on their upcoming games in their domestic league in order to stay on the right path towards the Scudetto.

“Juventus against Real Madrid will be an eye-catching game, these are the type of matches that we work towards,” he told a news conference as quoted by Goal.

Fabio Capello backs quality Matthijs de Ligt to improve

Former Juventus boss Fabio Capello is confident Matthijs de Ligt will bounce back from a shaky start and rediscover his best form in Turin over time.

“Last year in the quarter-finals we beat Barcelona, maybe this year we will beat Real Madrid.

“They are the favourites to win the Champions League, so if we can beat them it would be fantastic. However, we must focus first on the task at hand, which is SPAL [on Saturday].

“After that we have the [international] break, then we have AC Milan, which at the moment is not an easy opponent, then we will think about Real Madrid.”
