The Bianconeri are currently aiming for a fifth consecutive Scudetto.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri lauded the ‘winning DNA’ of his squad ahead of their Champions League clash with Sporting CP in Group D on Tuesday.

The Italian did not go easy on his players after poor performances in the start of Serie A, especially after an embarrassing draw at Atalanta and a loss to Lazio. However, a 2-0 win over AC Milan during the weekend changed the mood of the manager, who lauded his team and their mentality.

Bernardeschi: UEFA would be ‘crazy’ to ban Ronaldo!

Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi believes it would be madness if UEFA were to ban Cristiano Ronaldo for his goal celebration against Atletico Madrid.

“I’m really proud to be part of this team,” Allegri told a pre-match news conference, according to Goal. “Juventus have a winning DNA.”

Yet, Allegri warned his players that they are up for a tough game against a very good side in the face of Sporting: “This game will be very difficult. Sporting are a very good squad and we need to get a positive result.”

That, however, does not stop the Italian from hoping Juve will claim a spot in the last 16 as early as Tuesday night: “It would be like a gift for us, for our fans and for everyone associated with the club [to reach the last 16]. We know what a win here will give us, it gives us the possibility of going through on the night. But a draw would also keep us on the right path.”
