Dele Alli admits Tottenham Hotspurs was not good enough before the lockdown and are determined to improve now football is coming back.
Tottenham Hotspurs are languishing in eighth place in the Premier League, and star player Dele Alli admits there must be improvement.
Any chance of claiming one of those converted positions will not only require the North London club to be at their best but also those above them to falter too.
The club’s England international winger Dele Alli who is usually so dependable has had a misfiring season.
He admits he and his teammates have been far from their best.
In an interview reported by Goal, Alli insists the players are ready to come back better than before the unexpected break.
“We are excited as it was an unexpected break having the season cut midway through.”
“From a Tottenham point of view, we were not doing well enough before the break.”
“We know that but we’ve all come back to training hungry and we want to improve.”
“Everyone is excited so we just need to dig in.”
Alli needs to show more consistency if he is to go down as a Tottenham legend.
