The Citizens were able to turn their luck around and after being down 2-1 against Schalke, with one player sent off, they won 3-2 in the UCL.

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City had a fantastic comeback tonight in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

The English Premier League club was down 2-1 in the second half while Nicolas Otamendi was sent off leaving them with one less player.

But the Citizens showed a lot of confidence and were able to get the victory in the first leg of the series at Veltins Arena.

City had a great start, thanks to a magnificent goal by Sergio Aguero in the 18th minute thanks to an assist by David Silva.

At the 33rd minute, Nicolas Otamendi handballed the ball in his own area and after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Technology was used, Schalke was awarded a penalty kick.

Nabil Bentaleb converted the goal to tie things 1-1.

Eddie Howe pleased with attacking poise, but feels Wilson was too honest

A.F.C Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe felt as though his striker Callum Wilson was too honest against Manchester City and may have won a penalty,...

And two minutes before the end of the first half, Fernandinho fouled Salif Sane in the area to give the Germans another penalty kick chance.

Bentaleb converted from the spot once again to put things 2-1.

In the second half things didn’t look good for Pep Guardiola and company, as Nicolas Otamendi received his second yellow card of the day and was sent off, leaving the Citizens with 10 men.

Schalke didn’t take this opportunity to attack, wasting the few opportunities they had in front of the Manchester goal.

But Leroy Sane scored in the 85th minute, while Raheem Sterling did the same five minutes later, to give the Citizens the 3-2 win in a fantastic night.
