Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a brace for AC Milan that saw the Rossoneri beat Sassuolo two-one and climb up to fifth in Serie A.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic inspired his AC Milan side to victory once again.

Since the arrival of the towering center forward, Stefano Pioli’s Milan have been an almost unrecognizable side.

Credit must be given to Pioli who took over an all but sinking ship when he got the job following the sacking of Marco Giampaolo back in October.

The Rossoneri were 13th in Serie A at the time, just three points above the relegation zone.

However, Pioli has changed things up and then added Zlatan into the mix. Milan has been slowly climbing the table since.

It was the enigmatic Swede once again who led Pioli’s men in the charge against Sassuolo.

Ibrahimovic opened the scoring in the 19th minute when he headed home Hakan Calhanoglu’s inch-perfect cross.

Unfortunately, injury troubles struck the visitors and Milan lost Andrea Conti and Alessio Romagnoli before the break.

Things got worse when VAR took its time in awarding the home side a penalty in the 42nd minute, which they converted to equalize.

But before the half-time whistle, Ibrahimovic was at it again.

This time in first half stoppage time he got his and the Rossoneri’s second.

Calhanoglu and İbrahimovic linked up again. This time it was a through ball, with Zlatan cool as you like rounded the keeper to win it for Milan.
