Liverpool became the third English team to make it to this year’s Champions League quarter-finals with an impressive win over Bayern Munich.

In an open first half, it was Liverpool who took the lead when Sadio Mane turned Manuel Neuer and dinked home a finish.

However, Joel Matip’s own goal ensured that the two sides headed into the break on level terms.

Southgate is worried about England’s future

The national team manager doesn't like that the number of English players starting in Premier League games is going down.

Virgil van Dijk slammed home a header to put the Reds back in front and in command of the tie before mane added his second in the 84th minute to secure their progression.
