It’s fair to say things aren’t going well for Germany and Joachim Low at present.

The former world champions are finding the going tough, and Low is getting most of the blame for it. A draw with Serbia in midweek did little to dispel the doubts.

Things looked to be getting worse when his side squandered a two-goal lead against the Netherlands on Sunday evening.

However, a late goal secured all three points and provided much-needed respite for the underfire Germans. Whether they can build on it remains to be seen.
