The Netherlands booked their place in the Nations League final courtesy of a 3-1 win over England in Porto.

It was England who took the lead in the first half when Marcus Rashford converted a penalty after a trip from Mathijs de Ligt.

The Three Lions took that into the second half but weathered the storm from the Dutch before eventually caved when De Ligt headed home an equaliser.

Jesse Lingard thought he’d won the game only for VAR to rule his late strike offside. The Dutch took advantage of that, capitalising on mistakes from John Stones and Kyle Walker to win the game in extra time. Here’s what we learned from the game:
