Brendan Rodgers will have been thinking that the Premier League was rather easy.

It had been a couple of years since he’d been in the division and his start to life at Leicester suggested his return would be a glorious one.

Adrian hails Liverpool’s defenders: “they defend like animals”

According to the Reds goalkeeper, Adrian, his teammates at the lower part of the field are just furious beasts who don't let anybody come through.

They headed into this game as heavy favourites but were nowhere near being the better team. Newcastle, the underdogs, controlled the game courtesy of Rafa Benitez’s tactics.

The 1-0 defeat was a reminder for Rodgers that unlike in Scotland, there are no easy games in the Premier League.
