Liverpool have felt that their luck was out in recent weeks. As they struggled, all the breaks were falling to Manchester City.

It was a similar story on Saturday as City were handed a fortuitous goal to kickstart another victory. Well, Lady Luck decided to dish some out to Liverpool as an apology.

Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy, England

Rodgers: “I wouldn’t swap Jamie Vardy for Harry Kane”

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers wouldn't trade his star striker Jamie Vardy for even Harry Kane ahead of their clash with Tottenham.

All four of their goals against Burnley were the product of the odds being in their favour. Roberto Firmino wouldn’t have scored had it not been for fortunate deflections falling his way. The same can be said of Sadio Mane’s first.

His second, meanwhile, came about from Daniel Sturridge’s offside not being spotted. It was a fortuitous afternoon for the Reds, and they’ll be hoping their luck doesn’t run out between now and the end of the season.
