Portugal won the inaugural Nations League as champions following a 1-0 victory over the Netherlands in the final.
After seeing off Switzerland in the semi-final, Portugal were keen to ensure it was a victory on home soil this summer.
That was evident in their performance as they dominated the Dutch from start to finish but couldn’t find the winning goal.
That eventually came, though, as Goncalo Guedes converted following Bernardo Silva’s run. That was the only goal of the game and ensured another trophy for Portugal. Here are four things we learned from the game:
