Carlo Ancelotti believes Dominic Calvert-Lewin has all the qualities to be named among the top strikers in Europe in the near future.

Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on Dominic Calvert-Lewin after Everton’s match against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin inspired Everton to a tight 2-1 victory against Newcastle earlier. The 22-year old scored early in the game before canceling out Fabian Schar’s equalizer to record second win under Carlo Ancelotti.

Carlo Ancelotti highlighted Calvert-Lewin’s attributes while talking about the team’s lifted spirit in the wake of his appointment as the new Everton head coach.

“He is a fantastic striker in my opinion – fantastic with the head, clever in the box, and sharp,” Ancelotti told Sky Sports.

“But he’s young and for this reason, he has to improve. He is a humble guy and he doesn’t talk a lot.

“I think he is going to be at the top in England and in Europe. He has all the qualities to be a top striker,” the Italian declared.

“I think the spirit of the team is really good and I think this is the key to our victory. Now have to work when we have time to try to play better football.”
