Andre Silva is reportedly on the verge of making a permanent move to AS Monaco with the club set to lose Radamel Falcao this summer.
In Andre Silva, AS Monaco may have found their centre forward for the upcoming season. According to reports, the Portuguese striker has already agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 outfit. And AC Milan are also keen on offloading a player who flattered to deceive whenever give a chance.
Last season, the youngster was loaned out to Seville where his displays although promising, were inconsistent.
However, that hasn’t stopped AS Monaco from chasing him actively all summer.
With Radamel Falcao eager to leave in a bid to seek a fresh challenge, the Principality club was seeking a younger alternative.
Oleg Petrov, the club’s new president, had already hinted at the possibility of the Colombian leaving this summer.
“Falcao is in the last year of his contract. He will come back and we will discuss.”
Turkish press already claims that the striker has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray. And if that happens, Andre Silva would be a great replacement.
And while Marco Giampaolo has welcomed him back to the fray, all parties agree that Silva could do with a fresh start in his career.
Sky Sport Italia also claims that the Portugal international has already agreed personal terms with Monaco.
Milan on the other hand, are negotiating with the Ligue 1 side happily given their need for cash.
Petrov has already stated that a few players will be sold this summer.
“After a bad season, it’s always harder to find a buyer. From a business point of view, we have to be as cautious as we can by not selling our players at any price. We have a lot of young players we believe in. I am often asked if they are good. Yes, some haven’t played a lot but I can assure you that they are good and that they have value. We can sell, but we will not give out anything for free.”
Clearly, the club will be selling Falcao only if they are able to get something decent out of a sale.
And if that happens, perhaps making a final assault for Andre Silva would also become easier.
