Genoa manager Aurelio Andrazzoli is sad after his team was trashed 5-1 by Parma this week in the Italian Lega Serie A.
And for losing coach Aurelio Andreazzoli, his time at the club might be over.
“It’s not the first time we’ve almost taken the lead and immediately conceded,” he was quoted by Football Italia.
“This evening, we were up against a team that proved itself to be superior. They were more determined, more precise, had clearer ideas.”
“It could’ve been a less heavy scoreline, if we hadn’t made some of the errors and if we had taken our chances, but over the course of the match, it was only right that Parma win,” he commented.
“I know how these things go, I’ve been working in football for many years. I can only do what is within my power and what I can control, whereas these are decisions that I cannot control.”
“I cannot say what the rapport has been like within the club, that remains between us. There are many people working at a club and within a team, so everyone makes mistakes, including me,” he added.
“I think perhaps the team was over-estimated after the pre-season friendlies and early games.”
