Angelino credits Pep Guardiola for shaping him as a player and believes he could still reunite with him in the future.

Spanish full-back Angelino joined Manchester City back in 2013.

Despite being assigned to the club for five years, the 23-year old only made three senior appearances with a huge chunk of his time spent being loaned out away from England.

In 2018, Angelino signed for PSV and, after being impressed with his performances, Pep Guardiola brought him back just a year later.

Inability to compete with Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko once again saw him go out of favor prompting him to join RB Leipzig on loan in January.

But Angelino is still optimistic. Speaking to La Voz de Galicia, he said: “I went to Manchester when I was 16, and I got a headache from not settling down.

“But I’m still a City player and I don’t give up on getting a place there.

“I acquired that in training with Guardiola, I thought: ‘Well, I’m here to fight. To see if I can get minutes’. I worked as hard as I always have. But now I see the result. I am a better player thanks to his methods.”
