Antoine Griezmann’s year just keeps on getting better and his joyful mood has seen him splash out on special gifts for all his Atletico Madrid team-mates
The Frenchman joined Los Rojiblancos in 2014 from Real Sociedad after Diego Simeone’s side famously beat both Real Madrid and Barcelona to the La Liga crown.
But Griezmann would have to wait another four years before he could claim his first ever piece of major silverware.
And what a year it has been for the 27-year-old.
In just the past three months, Griezmann helped Atletico win the Europa League and later played a key role in securing France the 2018 World Cup.
But the French striker isn’t done yet after helping Atletico claim the UEFA Super Cup over city rivals Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
While the trophy itself is hardly as significant as the Champions League, Griezmann was keen to mark the occasion nevertheless.
Taking inspiration from US sports like the NBA and the Super Bowl, Griezmann presented his teammates specially designed champion rings to commemorate their achievements.
Below is a picture of the gold and diamond rings that show the Atletico badge on the front.
