Having been away from football for a while, Antonio Cassano who has played for Roma, Real Madrid and represented his national side Italy in some international football competitions says he wants to return to football.
“I want to find a coach and club that trusts me”.
The 36-year-old hasn’t played for two seasons, having been frozen out at Sampdoria and then walked away from Verona in pre-season last year.
“I have a huge desire to play football,” Cassano told Sky Sports as quoted in Football Italia.
“Physically I’m great, I’m 82kg and I’ve never weighed that in my life. I’d like to play about two hours away from my house!
“I’m very enthusiastic, but I want to find a Coach and a club that trusts me. I’m convinced I can still make a difference, because I can make a difference.
“Last year I said things as they were, I left [Verona] because I didn’t feel the spark.”
