Antonio Valencia to leave United next week

Manchester United defender Antonio Valencia could reportedly leave the club before the end of the January transfer window, according to Sports Mole.

Valencia’s current deal with United expires at the end of the season and having fallen out of favour, was expected to leave on a free transfer in June.

However, reports in the English press say the Red Devils are prepared to allow the Ecuador international to leave either on loan or on a free before the transfer window closes on January 31, which has attracted the attention of Newcastle United and Fulham.

Neville demands answers from Solskjaer

According to the former English Premier Leauge footballer, United's manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to tell fans what his plan for the club is.

Valencia, who will turn 34 later this year, has made played over 300 games for United since joining the club from Wigan Athletic in 2009.

The right-back is still officially United’s club captain, but has only featured in five Premier League games this season and was again left out of the squad for Friday’s 3-1 win over Arsenal.

Valencia is currently behind Ashley Young and Diogo Dalot for the right-back position at Manchester United this season.
