Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay thinks that Martin Odegaard will fulfill his two-year loan and stay at the club for another season.
Real Madrid snatched up prodigious Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard when he was just 16 years-of-age.
It was clear early on that playing in the clubs Castilla’s side was not enough of a challenge for the youngster. But on the other hand, he was not yet ready to force his way into the first team.
Los Blancos sent the player out on various loan deals for him to gain first-team experience. The most recent being a two-year arrangement with La Liga side Real Sociedad.
Odegaard has started to display the maturity and ability that was expected of him during his teenage years and the talk has been that Zinedine Zidane will call the loan early.
According to Sociedad’s president, he believes that the player will complete his second year on loan.
Speaking to Radio Euskadi he said:
“I think Odegaard is going to stay at Real. It is what I believe and the hope we have.”
“When you stay at Real, if you stay, you have to be convinced, like when he came last year. Convinced that it is the best option for next season.”
“The decision is up to him and I think he will stay.”
Madrid hold Odegaard in the highest regard, but just how good is he?
