Lionel Messi appears to be adopting a whole new persona on the football field in displays of utter s**thousery.
The term s***housery is often associated with a player who has no respect for his opponent or the officials and takes great pleasure in the failure of others on the football field. Not something you would usually associate with Lionel Messi.
However, after yesterday’s victory against Napoli, we may be seeing a slightly more crude side to the Argentine.
In last night’s game, Messi won a penalty. After VAR decided that Kalidou Koulibalys’ challenge was a foul, a spot-kick was awarded.
Messi passed on the duites from 12 yards out to strike partner Luis Suarez.
Video footage shows Messi tiing his laces while the kick is being taken.
Now I am sure he has every confidence in Suarez, but if it’s not s***housery at its best, then I don’t know what is.

If that wasn’t enough to convince you of the new and cruder Lionel Messi, what about the post-match fist bump with the official.
Or should we say lack of it? The referee did little to endear himself to either side. But after he denied Messi a goal for handball, the writing was on the wall.
Cuneyt Cakir went to fist bump with Messi after the game, but in another show of total s***housery, he just wagged his finger at the referee, gave him a piece of his mind and walked on.
