Arsenal have no plans to extend the loan deal for Dani Ceballos beyond the current season, according to reports from Spain.

Dani Ceballos will not be joining the Gunners permanently, according to a report from Spain.

The 23-year-old joined Arsenal from Real Madrid last summer, with then manager Unai Emery playing a key role in his arrival.

Ceballos got off to a bright start with the Gunners, including two assists on his debut.

The Spaniard impressed for a number of games but saw his run in the starting lineup cut short due to a hamstring injury back in November.

Mikel Arteta became Arsenal boss in December and kept Ceballos on the bench before re-instating him back into the team.

The Spaniard had started in Arsenal’s last three Premier League fixtures before the coronavirus outbreak halted the season.

But according to Spanish publication El Confidencial, Arsenal have no plans to keep Ceballos beyond the current season.

His loan deal had no purchase option, which means he would more or less return to parent club Real Madrid.

While his Arsenal journey could yet be over, other sides have recently show interest in Ceballos. The most recent interest came from Italian giants Juventus.
