Arsenal legend Ian Wright wants Unai Emery gone now, while Tony Adams thinks it’s not entirely his fault.

Ian Wright has taken to social media, calling for Arsenal to make that tough decision and sack manager Unai Emery.

Arsenal slipped to another defeat, and Wright was quoting the poor statistical evidence of his old clubs failings.

He puts the blame squarely at the feet of Emery, insisting that top players don’t want to say at a club playing as Arsenal are.

On his personal Twitter account he said:

“One shot on target tonight!”

“Two wins in 10 in the league. No definitive style or plan.”

“Negative goal difference. No improvement in the defense. Not creating anything.”

“Why would [Lacazette] or [Aubameyang] renew [their contracts?] Can’t blame them!”

“We have to make the tough decision Arsenal! It’s not getting better!”

There is plenty of speculation surrounding Emery’s future and potential replacements.

While old Gunner Wright wants Emery gone, former club captain Tony Adams believes the problem is not all down to the manager.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Adams insists that the problems run deeper.

“I think it is easier to blame the manager.”

“The recruitment has been very poor for some years now.”

“It is difficult for him, he hasn’t got the players.”

“The manager must be pulling his hair out.”
