In a bid to finally start their summer transfer shopping, the Gunners are on the verge of agreeing a move for Yacine Brahimi.

Yacine Brahimi is currently representing Algeria at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt. The stylish winger’s contract with Portuguese giants, FC Porto has expired. And although the club wanted to hold onto him, Brahimi wanted a fresh challenge.

Reportedly, Yacine Brahimi has turned down three lucrative offers from Turkey. The winger is keen on trying his luck in the English Premier League. Initially, he was linked with the likes of West Ham United and Everton.

However, it appears that Brahimi is more interested in a move to Arsenal. Unai Emery is desperate to sign players this summer. However, with the transfer budget provided, the club is unable to really match the likes of Tottenham or Manchester United this summer.

And after struggling to make any sort of headway in the chase of Wilfried Zaha, the Spanish tactician has chosen to move for Yacine Brahimi. The Algerian is definitely a great bargain signing since he won’t cost the club anything except for weekly wages.

And La Gazette du Fennec claims that the Gunners are also offering the 29 year old a £3.5 million signing on fee in an attempt to convince the player to join them.

Famous for scoring some scorching goals, Yacine Brahimi has already won the Portuguese Primeira Liga’s Goal of the Month three times in his career. Averaging a goal every four games throughout his career, Brahimi is going to be a valuable addition to the team.

And it has been reported that the player is going to officially sign with the club after the African Cup of Nations.

Brahimi was a substitute in his country’s 2-0 win over Kenya but didn’t play in the 1-0 win over Senegal.
