Arsenal could be putting a dent in Chelsea’s transfers plans after reported interest in Blues target Sergio Reguilon.
Arsenal are among a number of clubs to show interest in Sergio Reguilon who is high on Chelsea’s radar.
The Blues are reportedly in the market for a left-back option ahead of next season. Chelsea have Ben Chilwell as their major target in that position but Leicester are so far playing hardball with a valuation for the defender.
That all but saw the Blues turn to other names as alternatives. Apparently, Sergio Reguilon is top of that list and recent reports even claimed the Real Madrid star already had ‘talks’ with the West London side.
However, Italian football journalist Nicolo Schira claims Arsenal have joined Atletico Madrid and Napoli in inquiring about his availability.
The interest from Arsenal is quite one to follow considering Reguilon is a client of star agent Kia Joorabchian.
The Iranian agent has strong links with the Gunners’ hierarchy having helped them secure the signings of David Luis, Cedric Soares and Willian who is expected to join the club soon.
Regardless, it seems unlikely Arsenal will make a concrete move for Reguilon.
The Gunners have Kieran Tierney who has impressed in that position since his Arsenal debut. Teenager Bukayo Saka is another option for that role and has also impressed in that position.
Sead Kolasinac is the third option in that position although reports claim he could leave the club this summer.
Real Madrid value Reguilon at around €25m and it remains to be seen if Arsenal will meet that price.
