Arsenal to offload three players this summer

With Unai Emery needing to raise funds, Arsenal are set to get their hands off of three players this summer before embarking on a spending spree.

Arsenal are clearly struggling in the transfer window at the moment. The club has a rather embarrassing budget to work with. In order to secure new signings, the Gunners have to sell a few players who offer some value.

The likes of Yannick Carrasco, Kieran Tierney, Ryan Fraser and William Saliba have long been linked with a move to the Emirates this summer. However, with the funds they have available at the moment, Arsenal at best, would be able to sign only two of these players.

But the club is in dire need of an overhaul. Decisions have to be made and according to The Daily Star, the Londoners are set to part ways with three players.

The likes of Nacho Monreal, Calum Chambers and Laurent Koscielny are set to leave this summer. However, the trio isn’t expected to a raise a lot of money. But these departures would ease the burden on the ever-bulging wage bill.

Koscielny’s form has deserted him and the veteran Frencham is likely to return to France where Rennais and Lyon are thought to be interested.

Calum Chambers arrived amid much fanfare. However, the full back hasn’t been able to realize his potential. Lazio are looking at his profile at the moment. Nacho Monreal is likely to head back to Spain and his departure will pave the way for Kieran Tierney to arrive.

Another player who might be sold if an offer comes would be Mesut Ozil. The former Germany international can be a real threat on his day. Sadly though, those days are becoming a very rare occurrence as time goes on.

Clearly, Emery is need of someone whom he can rely on a consistent basis. Ozil is clearly not that someone!
