Arsenal expected to make new bid for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, according to Sky Sources.
Following two rejected offers for the Scotland international, Kieran Tierney. Sky Sports have reported that Arsenal are going to make a third offer that will match manager Neil Lennon’s expectations.
According to Sky’s Sports , The Gunner’s initial £15 million offer was rejected back in June, which led the club to re-evaluate and re-bid for the young left-back.
However, the North-London club’s second offer of £25 million was also rejected. Celtic reportedly not wanting to depend on Arsenal to qualify for Champion’s League football, in-order to trigger many of the contractual clauses.
Manager Neil Lennon has been stubborn during talks between the clubs and has set the left-back’s price as non-negotiable.
The 22-year old, who has won five Scottish Premier league titles with the club and made forty appearances in all competitions this season. Kieran is regarded very highly by everyone at the club and will not be easy to obtain.
It was thought that the deal was done after the second offer was rejected. However, Arsenal have stated that they are growing in confidence that they will be able to secure the full-backs services. Before the end of the Transfer Deadline, on August 8.
If Arsenal are successful in their venture, the Scottish International would become Unai Emery’s fifth signing of the Transfer window.
Either way, the Turkish manager will need to act fast. Espeically in-order to guarantee he gets his man before the looming deadline reaches its end.
