Mikel Arteta has revealed that Arsenal have not made any progress in their transfer negotiations.
Paris Saint-Germain full-back Layvin Kurzawa has been reported to be one of the top transfer targets for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as he plans to strengthen his defensive line.
Some reports even suggested that Kurzawa has already agreed on personal terms over a switch to the Emirates. But PSG’s inflated price demand is acting as a blockage for his transfer.
But Mikel Arteta has hinted that there might not be any addition to his squad at all. The Arsenal boss remarked that the negotiations were moving at a slow pace. Moreover, Arteta claimed that Arsenal will only approach players who exactly overlap with his requirements.
“Things haven’t moved at all since the weekend,” the Gunners boss said as per Goal.
“There is nothing new to say on any individual players and when we have more info we’ll let you know.
“I would not be unhappy without anybody in because we couldn’t. It’s because the players we want to bring in have to be players that will help us and make a difference in the squad. Not just for the sake of just bringing in players.”
