Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Kieran Tierney, the young defender has shown his boss that he can be a huge part of the future at Arsenal.
However, it is not so much what he has done on the field, but more what he has done off it that has impressed his boss, Mikel Arteta.
The Spanish tactician has seen a side to Tierney that has convinced him he has a big future at the Gunners and that he is the kind of player that he will need to turn things around at the Emirates Stadium.
In an interview reported by Goal, Arteta said:
“He’s been training incredibly hard through Covid-19.”
“It’s been tough for him in the last six or seven months, to move here from a different city, a different football club.”
“He is a kid with an incredible attitude and he is so willing to learn and to put in everything he has.”
“He has a massive heart and I am delighted to have him in the team.”
“I think he’s going to bring something special to us. He’s the kind of player that I love; a kid who is going to get better and better and better.”
The big question is if Tierney is the defensive future of the club, who will Arteta bring in to help him?
