The Ligue 1 outfit is keen on bringing Andre Silva back to the club for next season but the operation seems to be a complicated one.
Monaco are interested in bringing Andre Silva on loan this summer. In search of a world class striker to add more juice to their offensive sector, the Monegasque club is keen on bringing the Portugal international to France.
However, parent club AC Milan only want a straightforward transfer.
At Monaco, the biggest priority of the summer transfer window is to cut their losses. With a playing staff of more than 60 players, the club is working to find exits for younger players and also for experienced heads. The likes of Djibril Sidibe and Radamel Falcao have already been transfer listed.
However, the club also needs reinforcements in order to avoid another relegation dogfight that it experienced last season.
While Falcao wants to leave, at the moment, he lacks suitors. Except a proposal from Middle East, the Colombian hasn’t been as actively sought out as he used to a few years ago. With or without Falcao, the attacking side of things need to be sorted out.
Last season, the club could not rely upon the likes of Stevan Jovetic and Pietro Pellegri due to injuries.
According to Foot Mercato, Andre Silva is the priority target for the club this summer. The Portugal international had a poor season for Milan where he scored only twice in two games. Last season, he was farmed out to Seville where he scored 9 times in 27 games.
Milan not eager for another loan spell
However, Monaco are confident that Andre Silva will be up and about in France and want to bring him on loan. But the biggest issue is that Milan want a permanent transfer and require at least €38 million for the striker.
It remains to be seen if Monaco would be willing to part with so much money for Andre Silva. The striker is definitely a real talent but lacks the consistency to become a really great striker.
