Aston Villa urged to complete signings, Dean Smith gives transfer update

Aston Villa manager has urged his side’s board to utilize the transfer window to bring in fresh legs into the team.

The manager also denied insinuations that his side is one-man-team while admitting that the result at Wigan hurt them and vowed there will be no repeat.

“The window has always been there to bring in some players,” The Villa boss told Birmingham Mail.

“We will look to do that.”

“I’m not even looking at the (top six),” said Smith, who is also without Axel Tuanzebe due to injury. “I am looking at the next game.

“We are training no different. We are certainly not a one or two man team.

“The players know that. There is certainly enough ability within that dressing room.

“They have to turn it around now. We all do.”
