Saul Niguez has highlighted that he has a long term contract with Atletico Madrid and insists he wishes to honor it to the full.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be keen on continuing his squad rebuilding process this summer, despite having already spent considerably in the past two transfer windows.

Among those rumored to be on Solskjaer wishlist are Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez, Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, and Ajax’s Donny van de Beek.

Saul, particularly, has been heavily linked with the Red Devils since the past few months. Known for his technique and passing abilities, he has been a key cog in Diego Simeone’s team over the years.

But the midfielder, who is tied to the Spanish side until 2026, says he is focused on life at Wanda Metropolitano while also suggesting that the speculations have little truth to them.

“I see things on Instagram or in newspapers which you publish,” Saul told Radio Marca. “But I haven’t heard anything from any club.

“I have a long-term contract, which I signed because I want to stay here. I don’t have any problem staying here because my family is here. It’s my home.

“People say, ‘come out and deny it’, but then if you deny it and something happens, you look bad.”
