Atletico Madrid can be forced to play behind closed doors and imposed a fine.

Atletico’s match against Barcelona was one of the most thrilling games of this season in La Liga. Lionel Messi, as he always does, proved to be the difference between them. The Ballon d’Or winner paired with Luis Suarez in the dying minutes to score the only goal of the match.

The match also highlighted Antoine Griezmann’s return in front of his fans ever since his move to Barcelona. But, as was expected, the fans showed hostility towards the Frenchman. The Rojiblancos fans chanted ‘Griezmann die’ throughout the match.

As a result, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, Atletico can pay the price. Diego Simeone’s men can be forced to play behind closed doors following their treatment of their former player.

Moreover, the Spanish club are also set to be fined for the misbehavior of their fans.
