Atletico Madrid squandered a lead to drop two points by drawing 1-1 with a bottom half of La Liga table Alaves.
However, it took super-sub Alvaro Morata’s strike in the 70th minute, just ten minutes after joining the game to give Atletico the lead.
Correa was the provider, as he played a through ball for Morata.
The Spaniard made no mistake in putting the ball right down the middle of the goal.
It was Morata’s third goal in as many games.

Alaves 0 – 1 Atletico Madrid
But only thirteen-minutes later Lucas Perez got the home side a share of the spoils.
In the 83rd minute, Perez got a hold of the ball outside the 18-yard box and hit a left-foot rocket.
It was Perez’s fifth consecutive game in which he has scored.

The fantastic Oblak at full stretch could do nothing to atop the ball flying into the top corner of the goal.
Fulltime: Alaves 1 – 1 Atletico Madrid.
Statistically, the visitors had more of the possession, but not by much. According to ESPN Simeone’s side saw 52 per cent of the ball.
What was interesting, was that Alaves had more shot though than their striker rich opponents.
While the host will see it as a point gained, the visitors will see it as two points dropped.
With Barcelona playing tonight, Simeone and his Rojiblancos could find themselves trailing Messi and company by three points.
Real Madrid have two games in hand on their cross-town rivals and could also leap from them once they are back in action.
The Argentine will be furious with his team for throwing away what should have been an easy three points.
🔚 ¡Final de partido!
