With Sanchez set to leave the Gunners in the coming days, Wenger has turned his attention to the Gabonese hitman

It is expected for Alexis Sanchez to leave Arsenal one of the next days with Manchester United thought to be his next destination. However, other big clubs are apparently also fighting for his signature including Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

This leaves Wenger with a mission, as he needs to find a replacement for the Chilean. According to Mirror however, he has already found his new man in Germany. According to a report from the English media, Aubameyang has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and is set to leave Borussia Dortmund.

The Gabonese striker had been tipped to leave Dortmund in the summer, but he stayed put. However, rumours are flourishing again, and it is not unlikely that he will be playing in the Premier League by the end of January.

Aubameyang was left out of the squad for Sundays game against Wolfsburg, as he was hit with a club ban for disciplinary reasons – apparently for missing a team meeting. It was his third club ban in just 12 months, and the striker has had enough.

The Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke, indicates that is up to the player himself if he wishes to future to be at Dortmund.

– Auba has to talk to the coach and tell him whether he is ready to give everything for Borussia Dortmund, Watzke said.

– [Head coach] Peter Stoger and [sporting director] Michael Zorc will discuss it with him. I guess he understood [being dropped]. Let’s see how it develops in the next days.

– For me it is just logical [that Aubameyang stays]. I expect everything to be as it was. He is a player of BVB, he trains and he is in our plans for the upcoming match Watzke continued.

Also Mkhitaryan is also being linked with a move to The Emirates as part of the deal for Alexis Sanchez.
