Azpilicueta has his say on Chelsea new signings Werner and Ziyech and has revealed his excitement at seeing both players play for the Blues next season.

Like many Chelsea fans out there, Azpilicueta is looking forward to seeing his side’s new acquisitions take to the pitch next season.

On paper, the Blues could boast one of the most lethal forward lines in the Premier League following the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

The west London side look to be taking a strong hit at the transfer window following their ban and have made two big additions so far.

With the prospect of Ziyech, Werner and Abraham linking up in attack for Lampard next season, Azpilicueta is excited to see top players move to the Stamford Bridge as they hope to compete for the title next season.

“We are excited,” said Azpilicueta of the two signings via the Chelsea website.

“Both are very good players.”

“We faced Ziyech this year and we could see his potential and his left foot. Timo is a young striker who has good experience of German football, the Champions League and international football, so he’s a big addition for us.” Azpilicueta added.

“It’s good to get it done early because that means whenever pre-season starts they will be with the squad and their preparation will start early. They will have time to adapt. Hopefully now they can show their quality as soon as possible in a blue shirt.”

Timo Werner is expected to offer Frank Lampard and Chelsea another dimension in attack.
