The French midfielder is on loan from Chelsea since the summer, and he likes the Rossoneri so much that he hopes he can stay.

24-year-old Tiemoue Bakayoko is enjoying his time with AC Milan in the Italian Lega Serie A.

The French midfielder has now 17 games under his belt and is adapting well to the team’s philosophy.

But he was loaned from English Premier League club Chelsea, which might see him return to England after the summer.

And today, in a talk to Gianluca Di Marzio, Bakayoko said he wished he could stay with the Rossoneri.

“At a personal level, I’m satisfied to be able to perform at a high level with a big club,” he started saying.

“[Paolo] Maldini and Leonardo welcomed me when I arrived at Milanello, you quickly understand the quality of the club you’re about to play for.”

“The atmosphere at San Siro is extraordinary, this team has a history and things are going well this year,” he explained.

“I need to remember the fact that, at the moment, I’m under contract with Chelsea for another 3 years.”

“Certain situations don’t depend exclusively on me. [Gennaro] Gattuso is how he was on the pitch, direct and sincere,” he added.

“He always tells you how to improve and transmits positive values.”

The France international started his professional career with Rennes B in his native country in 2012.

The next year he moved into the senior squad of the team.

But in 2014 he was transferred to Monaco, where he has lived his best performances yet, with three goals in 63 appearances.

Then in 2017, he moved for the first time out of France and into the English Premier League, where he played for Chelsea.
