Gareth Bale has been described by a Real Madrid coach as incredible but too prone to injuries.
Gareth Bale has been at Real Madrid for almost seven years now. He arrived from Tottenham for a then world-record transfer fee of 101 million Euros.
In his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has picked up and amazing 14 trophies. That’s an average of two per season.
What is even more impressive, is he has made 249 appearances, scored 105 goals and had 67 assists.
His record is comparable with the very best Madrid has seen.
His statistics are quite amazing. What is even more amazing though is that due to injury he has actually only been available for about 50 percent of the games he could have played in.
The club’s youth coordinator Stefan Kohfahl is full of admiration for Bale, insisting he is a nice guy and hopes to see him back to his best for Los Blancos.
Speaking to Goal he said:
“His ratings with Real are incredible.”
“The problem is his vulnerability to injury.”
“He is actually a shy and modest person, very introverted. He’s also under pressure, of course.”
“It would make me happy if more respect comes from the audience and he gets back on his feet again.”
The question now is will Bale even get another chance at Real Madrid?
They tried to offload him last summer, and the likelihood is they will try again this year too.
