Kylian Mbappe is the world’s greatest footballing talent without a shadow of a doubt as the 20-year-old already has a ton of trophies to his name.
However, Mbappe’s rise inevitably comes with the expectations for individual awards.
According to Stephen Warnock, the Frenchman will want to avoid joining the Reds in order to keep his Ballon d’Or chances alive in the future.
“Would Mbappe go to Liverpool? You know what, why wouldn’t he come? Why wouldn’t he want to play against the best players in the Premier League and really test himself?
“I think the one problem we face over here with players like that is they often feel like they can only win the Ballon d’Or if they go to Real Madrid or Barcelona,” Warnock told Liverpool Echo.
That probably is true. The last eleven d’Or winners come from Spanish football, and Messi is expected to win 12th tonight.
However, footballing powers could shift if Liverpool are able to land PSG’s superstar.
