Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has confirmed to the public he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Earlier today, Barcelona confirmed an unnamed member of their squad tested positive for coronavirus.
It appears that player is Jean-Clair Todibo. The defender announced this evening he was asymptomatic and would be following the necessary measures.
“Hello everyone, I am informing you that I have tested positive for Covid-19, I am asymptomatic and I feel fine.” the 20-year-old posted on Twitter.
“I am at home following the proper health protocol. I really want to get back to training, but now it’s time to stay home until the virus has passed.”
Todibo was among the nine players tested at the club’s training centre with pre-season activity underway already.
Barcelona will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Friday but this news won’t affect them in any way.
The club already confirmed that the unnamed player (Todibo) was not in contact with any of the senior team players who are scheduled to travel to Lisbon this Thursday to compete in the Champions League.
