Barcelona have taken measures to ensure that Ousmane Dembele doesn’t turn up late for training again
The 21-year-old forward has had moments of pure brilliance at Camp Nou, which includes his stunning goal against Tottenham in the Champions League on Tuesday.
But, when it comes to training anyway, Dembele seems to have a bit of a problem turning up on time – which has left club officials fuming.
However, Marca reports that Barcelona believes they have found the solution by instructing the World Cup winner to keep his phone turned on at all times.
It turns out that Dembele allegedly spends his nights playing video games and watching television into the early hours of the morning.
This was apparently the cause behind Dembele turning up two hours late for training last Sunday after he overslept again, so Barcelona have introduced their new rule to the Frenchman.
This strange new rule also means Dembele cannot have his phone on silent overnight so that Barcelona can reach him at all times – even when he’s oversleeping.
The Catalan giants will take on Levante today in La Liga with kick-off set for 20:45 (CET).
