Barcelona looking to move for Lautaro Martinez

The reigning La Liga champions have been impressed by the displays of Lautaro Martinez and are looking to make a big-money approach.

Barcelona are set to test Internazionale’s resolve for their talented forward, Lautaro Martinez. The young Argentine has been in sensation form for Lionel Scaloni’s men at the Copa America in Brazil. The Inter forward played a crucial role in securing a much needed win for his team against Venezuela.

It was his exploits that confirmed the Argentina-Brazil semifinal. And it appears that Internazionale may have a job on their hands as they look to hold on to a player they only signed last summer.

The Catalan giants are keen on  bringing another striker to Camp Nou this summer in a bid to relieve some pressure off of Luis Suarez’s shoulders. And according to Daily Star, the Spanish giants will be open to moving for the Inter star.

Arturo Vidal, Chile

Vidal talks about all things Barcelona

The Chilean international talked about how he feels right now with his club in the Spanish La Liga tournament and what he can expect in the future.

Although the club is already on the verge of signing Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, the shopping spree is unlikely to stop. The club is keen on having another option for the long term.

After scoring two goals in the Copa America, Lautaro Martinez has showcased himself to be a star of the future. Last season, the youngster scored nine goals and was a nuisance for opponents in their half of the pitch.

Reports claim that Barcelona are willing to pay €112 million for the talented youngster. This would be way more than Inter paid for the youngster last year (€30 million).

However, it appears unlikely that Antonio Conte is going to sanction such a move regardless of how much profit it could generate. The Italian tactician sees Lautaro Martinez as the future of the club. The former Chelsea manager is willing to let go of Mauro Icardi since he sees Martinez as someone who will suit the club in years to come.
