Barcelona will not force Arthur Melo to be included in a swap-deal that could see Miralem Pjanic join the club, according to a report from Spain.
Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic have been sandwiched in reports claiming Juventus and Barcelona could be interested in a swap-deal.
It would appear the Catalan giants would not attempt to force the Brazilian to move to the Serie A.
Arthur recently expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona and he could yet get his wish.
Marca report that Barca are already aware of his unwillingness to leave the club and would not pressure him to do so.
Due to that, the Spanish giants will rather look to offer other players to Juventus and leave Arthur out of negotiations.
The report further adds that if Juventus insist on asking for Arthur, the final decision on whether to leave or not would be in the hands of the Brazilian.
The report concludes that Barca need to offload players in their squad to raise funds for transfers. The Catalan side would prefer to sell the likes of Vidal and Rakitic who earn way more than Arthur.
The club and the coaching staff are confident the 23-year-old would improve next season and believe he is a ‘Barca’ type of player.
Just recently, Arthur was tipped to remain with the La Liga giants for many more years.
