Right in the middle of a storm for Gareth Bale at Real Madrid, agent Jonathan Barnett spoke to the BBC Radio 5 Live about the Welshman.
If we thought that Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid was at stake before Zinedine Zidane arrived back at the club, the situation appears even more complicated now but the player’s agent doesn’t think that the Welshman will end up leaving Los Blancos.
Unless the club decides to sell the former Tottenham Hotspur forward, there is no way that he will end up leaving Real Madrid because he completely loves the city and he lives happily in Spain.
Despite the obvious repetitive disses from the player to manager Zinedine Zidane at the end of last season, it appears that Bale has made the decision to try and get the starring role back with the Frenchman as the manager.
Everybody in the Spanish press is talking about many of the Premier League’s clubs coming after the player next summer, but Barnett surprised the world when he stated that his client has chosen to fight for a position within the squad and he will ignore any offer coming his way.

But this is not Gareth Bale’s lone decision to make, as both manager Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez are scheduled to have a conversation with the player in order to reach an agreement that all the involved parties are happy with.
Both Barnett and Bale would do well to remember that the ones who make all the decisions are not only the board of directors or technical staff, as Real Madrid is a club of the people and there is a general assembly in which several matters are put to a vote.
The overwhelming majority of the associates inside the club are tired of waiting for Gareth Bale to deliver what was promised when he first arrived, the player has delivered some incredible performances but his injuries have been too many to ignore.
Considering that he is no longer a young player who has a long future ahead of him with Los Blancos, it is only natural that the club decides to sell him to the highest bidder before he becomes even more difficult to release.
We can clearly see how both parties will collide with any decision, Gareth Bale wants to remain at the club for the rest of his contract that expires until the year 2022.

When asked if retiring at Real Madrid was something that Gareth Bale was considering, Barnett responded with a: “Yes, why not? He wants to play all his career for Real Madrid and if it does not work out, we will talk again,” he said.
“He will talk with Mr. Zidane, take it from there and then see at the end of the season.”
“We speak a lot. The closest person to him is my son Joshua who is really his agent and he looks after him, he has done a good job.”
“Gareth wanted to play one way and Zidane wanted to play another. That was the cause of it and over a period of time it got worse.”
“If you let Gareth play the way he wants to play, having a run of games in a row not in and out, he can be right up there with Cristiano Ronaldo. He still has a great talent.”
“Gareth is very strong. He is a very strong-willed person and does not care what the press say. The jeering is not something that bothers him, he does not understand what he has to do.”
“Look at his record, what he has won and how he has played. In years to come, these people who are booing him, their children will be looking at the goals he scored and will be saying, ‘what a wonderful player’.”
