Barcelona’s Josep Maria Bartomeu expects big things from Quique Setien, with La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Champions League all on the wanted list.
Already the pressure is on.
Club president Bartomeu has outlined his ambitions and expectations from the new manager.
Valverde was fired with the team sitting pretty at the top of the league. Plus qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League undefeated.
So it’s no surprise when the least that’s expected is a cabinet full of trophies achieved only by an exquisite style of play.
In an interview reported by the clubs official website fcbarcelona.com, Bartomeu is expecting immediate results.
“With this momentum and with this new dynamic we aspire to win La Liga, the Champions League, and the cup.”
It’s not just about results though, in Catalonia, it’s about style too.
This is something that Valverde did not deliver. The beautiful game is also expected from Setien.
“We all know Setien is a huge fan of Johan Cruyff’s style and we share the same objectives.”
Is it mission impossible or impossible to make worse?
