Michy Batshuayi got back on track in a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund. He says, that he can’t remember playing to games in a row at Chelsea
Seven goals in 10 games. That was the total for Michy Batshuayi at the spring season in Borussia Dortmund. He scored two goals in his debut against Köln and was a joy to watch before his ankle injury.
But his time in Dortmund is over. At least for now. But Batshuayi doesn’t rule out, that he will be staying for a season or more.
“Dortmund was a great experience for me. They welcomed me very warmly. I was in a good environment and you could see that on the pitch.”
“It was a while since I had played so much. I can’t remember being allowed to play two games in a row at Chelsea. It was good to gain confidence.”
“I don’t have a preference; they’re two beautiful clubs. My focus is on the World Cup right now and I don’t want to think about what happens afterwards,” Batshuayi told Evening Standard.
Batshuayi is in the Belgium preliminary squad for the World Cup.
