The new Crystal Palace signing was involved in the 2-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday, and he hopes he can bring his “A-Game” to the club.
Michy Batshuayi started his professional career with Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League in 2011.
He moved in 2014 to French Ligue 1 club Marseille, before being transferred to English Premier League side Chelsea in 2016.
He was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in 2018 in the German Bundesliga, and again for one season to Valencia in the Spanish La Liga in the 2018-2019 season.
But now, he moved to Crystal Palace on a six-month loan and made an immediate impact with his team.
Batshuayi is also an essential part of the Belgian national team, having played in the U21 squad from 2012 to 2014, and since 2015 with the senior squad.
He has participated in 22 matches, scoring a fantastic amount of 12 goals.
“(The win over Fulham was) very important,” the Belgian striker took his time after the victory to talk to the club’s official website.
“It’s good for the team and for me.”
“I feel good but I need to train with the team so to have the whole team together will be something that’s good,” he added.
“I spent one day (with them) before training and with the coach,” Batshuayi concluded.
Thanks to the 2-0 victory over Fulham, Crystal Palace is now in 14th place of the English Premier League table with 26 points.
The team has won seven matches, drawn five and lost 13.
They have had problems on the defensive side, allowing 33 goals for 26 scored.
Crystal Palace will now host West Ham United next week in EPL action. Then they will visit Doncaster in the FA Cup Fifth Round.
